Jason crushes a hill leaving everybody in the dust.
Last weekend was the first ever Get High at the Beach ride. It was a casual group ride through some of the most scenic and bike friendly parts of San Francisco. There were about 20 ryders in attendance including a few Ryde celebrities like Sam Daly and Baby Valentine.

The ride began at Huckleberry bicycles. We rolled out blasting tunes and chatting our way up Market St. and through The Wiggle. We were greeted in Golden Gate Park by a long stretch of car-free JFK Dr. before our first hill climb up to Sutro Heights Park. There we enjoyed our high of choice. Be it the endorphins of a tough hill climb, the crystal clear skies, or a joint sponsored by God Hates Charades.

After our chill time at the park we rolled on to our next challenge: a hill climb into the Presidio. This was the toughest climb of the ride. But the crew was strong and we made great time.

After a short break we bombed down the picturesque Presidio wall and coasted in to the Palace of Fine Arts. There we made the most of our photo-op and snacked on cookies sponsored by Bike Pretty.
The rest of the ride was relaxing with the wind at our backs, (almost) no more hills to climb, and views of the bay. We rode along Marina Green, into the Wharf, and ultimately ended up at Rincon Park in downtown SF.
Thanks so much to everybody who came out! I couldn't have hoped for better weather or a more fun crew to roll with. I look forward to seeing everybody again next year!
